New World Champions in Women's Double Sculls with Braca Oars

  • Silver medallists New Zeland (Fiona Bourke, Zoe Stevenson), gold medallists Lithuania (Donata Vistartaite, Milda Valciukate) and bronze medallists Belarus (Ekaterina Karsten, Yuliya Bichyk) celebrate during the medal ceremony of the women's double sculls at the 2013 World Rowing Championships in Chungju, Korea

Congratulations to Donata Vistartaite and Milda Valciukaite for winning gold medal in women’s double scull at the World Championships in Chungju, Korea!  It was a very close race as they battled Great Britain and New Zeland to the finish line. The two young women took the lead again in the last 10 meters of the race, making it a very close call at the end. As in the European Championships, they were using our new Double Wing blade oars here also.
